Since 1946. Hashim Engineering Industries has operated continuously from its workshop in Amman for nearly eighty years. Every technique developed by the founder has been refined and passed down across three generations. None of it was outsourced. None of it was forgotten.
Yes. The business was founded by Hashim and is today led by the third generation of the family. When you contact us, you speak directly with the owners. There is no sales team, no customer service department, no intermediary. That direct relationship is something we have protected deliberately since 1946.
Our atelier and factory are in Amman, Jordan. Every piece is designed, fabricated and finished here. We travel to our clients across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and the wider Arab world for delivery, installation and site visits.
The owners. Every commission is handled directly by the Hashim family, from the first conversation through to installation and after-sale. You will never be passed to an employee or a representative. This is a deliberate policy and it is how we have always worked.
A bespoke safe is a commission designed and built entirely to your specification. Nothing is standardised. The external dimensions, internal layout, materials, surface finish, interior lining, lock type and every mechanical detail are agreed in direct dialogue with you. Each commission is one of a kind, designed for one client, built once, and never repeated.
Yes. There is no standard size. Bespoke commissions have ranged from intimate jewellery safes designed to fit a specific cabinet, to full floor-to-ceiling installations integrated into architecture. You define the space; we engineer a safe to fill it exactly.
Interior options include velvet in a full range of colours, custom drawer configurations, watch winders, removable trays, document holders, interior lighting and embroidered panels. Every interior is designed around the specific items it will hold: jewellery, watches, currency, documents, firearms, or any combination.
Between four and eight weeks from confirmed commission to delivery, depending on the complexity of the design. Commissions with highly intricate interiors or unusual exterior finishes may require additional time, which we confirm before work begins.
The process begins with an enquiry through our contact page or WhatsApp. We discuss your requirements in detail: dimensions, usage, aesthetics and security level. Once a design is agreed and an initial deposit is confirmed, a member of the Hashim family travels to your site to take the final precise dimensions, to see exactly how the safe will sit in its permanent position, and to ensure it can be transported and installed without any complications. Every preparation needed is handled before fabrication begins. You are welcome to visit the atelier in Amman at any point to see your commission in progress.
Yes. Clients are welcome at any stage of fabrication. Seeing a piece being made by hand, watching steel being formed and an interior being fitted, tends to answer questions that no photograph could.
Absolute discretion is a condition of every commission. We do not share, publish or reference client details, project specifications or any aspect of any commission without explicit written consent. Every piece we make is built for one person and remains entirely private.
A Fortress Grade safe is the highest tier of physical security safe we manufacture. It is built with up to 22 composite protection layers, hardened steel up to 10mm thick, and VDS-certified German locking mechanisms. Engineered to resist forced entry, drilling, cutting and sustained attack. Used by banks, hotels, government institutions and private high-net-worth clients across the Middle East and GCC.
VDS is an independent German security testing institute recognised internationally. A VDS-certified lock has been independently tested and approved for high-security use. The mechanisms in our Fortress Grade safes are VDS-certified and manufactured exclusively for our product line. The key cannot be duplicated by any third party.
Yes. Our safes are fireproof by design. Fire resistance is not an optional upgrade. It is built into the construction of every safe we manufacture through composite protection layers engineered to prevent heat penetration and protect the contents in the event of fire. This applies across both bespoke and fortress-grade products.
Between three and six weeks from confirmed order to delivery and installation. For orders outside Jordan, the delivery timeline is confirmed at the time of order based on logistics.

A fortified room is a complete architectural security environment built within an existing or new structure. Every surface, the floor, walls and ceiling, is reinforced. Access control, ventilation, lighting and interior fit-out are all engineered as a single secure system. It is the right solution for clients whose assets or personal safety require more than a single safe can provide.
A panic room is a reinforced space for personal protection during emergencies. A Hashim Engineering fortified room goes further: it provides 360-degree protection across all six surfaces, secured ventilation, controlled access and a fully fitted interior for valuables, archives or sensitive assets. The two functions can be combined into a single installation.
Yes. Post-construction installation is a speciality. We have installed fortified rooms on upper floors of active commercial buildings, underground, within reinforced concrete structures, and into spaces that show no visible modification from the outside. Existing architecture is never a constraint.
Yes. We have completed underground gun rooms and private armouries for residential clients, with concealed access mechanisms, full insulation, ventilation and secure access control. Every installation is designed to be undetectable from the outside.
Between six and twelve weeks from initial site survey to completion, depending on the complexity of the installation and the extent of the fit-out. We confirm the exact timeline after the site survey, before any work begins.
We source high-quality steel and raw materials and fabricate everything from scratch in our Amman atelier. Every component, the body, the reinforcement layers and the interior framework, is made in-house by our craftsmen. Nothing arrives pre-formed.
VDS-certified German locking mechanisms, recognised as the world standard in high-security locking. The mechanisms are manufactured to our specification and cannot be duplicated by any third party. For bespoke commissions, the lock type is agreed as part of the design process.
Almost entirely. Every part of the safe body, reinforcement layers, interior framework and finishing is fabricated in-house by our craftsmen in Amman from raw materials. The only component sourced externally is the digital lock mechanism and its accompanying keys, which are VDS-certified and manufactured in Germany to our specification. Everything else arrives as raw material and is built from scratch in our factory.
There is no standard price. Every commission is priced according to its specific requirements: dimensions, materials, internal configuration and security level. Yes. Many of our clients commission entirely remotely, by phone, WhatsApp or email. We have a thorough process for remote commissions that ensures every specification is captured with precision. The team travels to the client for delivery and installation, always.

A lifetime warranty against any factory fault. If a defect in our workmanship or materials ever presents itself, we repair or replace it at no cost and with no time limit. This warranty is unconditional.
Everything. We are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. Our phones are never switched off. When you call, you speak with the owners directly, not an answering service, not a representative. Lock servicing, mechanism adjustments, interior repairs, repainting: we handle it all personally.
Yes. After-sale service extends wherever you are. We travel to our clients across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. The same direct relationship you had during your commission continues for the life of the piece.
